Privacy Policy
Bill Organizer ("the App") is a local-first desktop application. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
1. Data We Collect
All your bill, payment, category, and reminder data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal financial data on our servers. The App uses anonymous analytics (PostHog) to collect usage data such as feature adoption, page views, and onboarding progress. No bill names, amounts, payment details, or categories are ever sent to our analytics service.
2. How We Use Data
Anonymous analytics data is used solely to improve the App — understanding which features are used, where users encounter issues, and how to make the onboarding experience better. We never sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored in your local application data directory. You can change the storage location in Settings. If you use a synced folder (e.g., Dropbox, iCloud Drive), synchronization is handled entirely by that service. We have no access to your synced data.
4. Analytics & Crash Reporting
We use PostHog for anonymous usage analytics and Sentry for crash reporting. Crash reports may include device type, OS version, and stack traces but never include your financial data. You can review what data is collected in our source code.
5. Contact
